The robust, self-propelled flail mower from AS-Motor is designed for intensive use on uneven, rough, uneven and sloping terrain. The AS 1040 Yak 4 WD is driven by a Briggs & Stratton V-Twin Vanguard twin cylinder engine. The horizontal engine delivers a maximum power of 23 HP (17.2 kW) with a displacement of 627 cm3 and transmits power directly to the flail shaft via V-belts. Optimum fresh air supply is ensured by the cyclonic air filter. Thanks to the oil and fuel pump, the AS 1040 Yak 4WD shredder is perfectly at ease on slopes. Stepless all-wheel drive with cruise control
Thanks to the hydrostatic transmission, the self-propelled flail mower can be operated comfortably and continuously with a maximum speed of 7.5 km/h forward and 6.8 km/h reverse. The permanent all-wheel drive ensures perfect propulsion on all terrains. In addition, the rear axle differential can be locked at any time by means of a foot pedal. The machine is operated easily and comfortably using the driving lever. This lever incorporates the parking brake and the cruise control function. Floating flail housing with Y-flails
Equipped with 56 Y-flails and a working width of one metre, the AS 1040 Yak 4WD XL shredder achieves area outputs of 7,300 m²/h. The shredded material is deposited evenly over the entire working width. 7 levels are available for selecting the cutting height from 30 to 110 mm. The upward deflection of the cutting deck (floating deck) and the Y-shaped flails on the rotor prevent damage in the event of a collision with the rotor.
