The AS 53 2T ES 4WD mower is equipped with an AS 2-stroke engine. This engine is the only 2-stroke engine in the world to be fitted to petrol lawnmowers and complies with the current European exhaust gas directive 97/68/EC. It is even possible to mow on extremely steep terrain at 45° without the risk of damaging the engine. This is because the lubrication of the AS 2-stroke engine is insensitive to the position of the engine. The AS 2-stroke engine is also equipped with an EasyStart function as standard. The AS 53 2T ES 4WD mower starts very easily. The digital CDI ignition system halves the starting speed. The high torque developed by the 2-stroke engine allows the petrol lawnmower to develop its full power even in tall, wet grass. The third crankshaft bearing, combined with the safety blade support and the friction discs on the blade, ensures optimum engine protection.
The combination of 4-wheel drive and 2-stroke engine makes it possible to work in extreme conditions. Whether on slopes or on uneven and chaotic terrain. The 4-wheel drive ensures excellent propulsion in all conditions. Thanks to the large, profiled drive wheels, the AS 53 2T ES 4WD mower always has a firm grip on the ground. Thanks to the mechanical 4-wheel drive, the petrol lawnmower is able to cope with steep inclines.
The driving speed can be comfortably and gradually adjusted with the Variomatic to suit the different circumstances. The powerful 2-stroke engine with up to 6.0 hp and a cutting width of 53 cm enable mowing of up to 2,500 m² per hour. The AS 53 2T ES 4WD mower can cut grass up to 40 cm high without any problems. The cutting height can be comfortably adjusted in 6 different positions from 30 to 100 mm per axle.
