Forage production made easy. The AS 585 E KM makes forage production for animals efficient and convenient. It works according to the drum mower principle. This consists of a mowing drum with the blades and the sliding plate. The sliding plate, which is mounted underneath the mowing drum, ensures the parallel ground contact of the mower and at the same time determines the cutting height. Four oscillating blades are mounted on the driven mowing drum, which cut the grass close to the ground, up to a height of 60 cm. The high speed of the mowing drum ensures a clean cut of the grass. The grass is laid down in even swaths in rows. This means that it can be quickly collected, loaded and transported away. With a cutting width of 62 cm, the roundabout mower achieves an area output of up to 1,500 m² per hour.

The EGO electric motor provides sufficient power reserves. It delivers a maximum power of 3.46 kW. The traction drive can be engaged by means of a lever and enables a forward speed of 2.7 km/h. In more demanding terrain or for better propulsion, the rear wheels can be locked manually. The guide bar can also be adjusted to individual working heights to ensure comfortable working. The guide bar is foldable. This makes the AS 585 E KM with its 65 kg easy to transport in the car.

The machine has easy-to-change cutting blades that can be used on both sides. The considerably lower vibrations of a roundabout mower and the robustness of the cutting blades significantly reduce maintenance and repair costs compared to a beam mower.
