The AS 940 Sherpa 4WD allows mowing in difficult areas. Equipped with a Briggs & Startton slope-capable engine with fuel and oil pump, the AS 940 Sherpa 4WD is also easy to drive on slopes. The permanent 4-wheel drive ensures, in addition to the excellent drive, safety, especially on slopes: On uphill gradients, they provide better traction and on downhill gradients, they enhance the braking effect. The differential lock can be locked with the foot pedal to give even more traction. The drive is provided by a hydrostatic transmission that can only be controlled by the driving lever. Special feature: The control lever has four functions. For example, forward and reverse movements, the driving brake and the parking brake are controlled by the driving lever. In addition, the AS 940 Sherpa 4WD is equipped with a brake pedal. When the brake pedal is pressed, the driving lever returns to the central position and the parking brake is automatically applied. The Briggs & Stratton 2-cylinder engine with 724 cm3 develops up to 27 HP. Enough power even under difficult conditions. Intelligent technology – The mowing deck of the AS 940 Sherpa 4WD is closed and surfaced and is 90 cm wide. It is equipped with a special AS cross-blade system. The cutterbar with reversible and oscillating blades eats up the cut grass, while the mulching blade above it shreds and mulches it. This process is ensured by the closed mowing bonnet. This means that it is possible to mow up to 5,500 m²/hour and grass up to 1.5 m in height. On the AS 940 Sherpa 4WD, the cut grass is ejected centrally and rearwards between the wheels. This provides greater safety, especially on slopes and in wet conditions, as the cut grass is not driven over. An optional mulching kit can be fitted for even finer mulching. Another advantage is the surfacing suspension of the mowing deck. It allows the mowing deck to avoid obstacles from above. For example, when driving over bumps, the mowing deck is raised to prevent the blades from touching the ground. This prevents damage to the lawn and the blades. The spring-loaded central cutting height adjustment allows a comfortable choice of five heights from 50 to 105 mm.
