Aequilibrium Speed Gtx is a men’s mountaineering shoe from La Sportiva.

The Aequilibrium range was created in response to a new mountaineering practice with technical but lightweight products for faster progression.

In this version, Aequilibrium Speed Gtx represents the perfect balance between performance and lightness. It features a water-repellent outer gaiter made of durable stretch fabric with an inner gusset. Beneath this gaiter, a GORE-TEX-lined bootie provides comfort, breathability and waterproofing. The integrated pad in the gaiter protects the ankle, and the ergonomic shape of the shoe construction wraps well around the foot to adjust internal volume and for more precision. This bootie features a 100% recycled Quick-Lace lacing system that allows precise and convenient adjustment wherever you are.

The sole has a protective rim with a clear PU anti-puncture film for lighter weight, and TPU inserts in the rear heel area compatible with semi-automatic crampons. To facilitate the movement of the foot, the sole has a rocker in the front but also a special Double Heel™ construction in the heel area. This technology consists of separating the heel into two parts for optimized walking comfort, but also to improve braking capabilities on descents. Finally, it is complemented by a Vibram® grip and Impact Brake System shock absorption system.
