G5 Evo is the ultra-technical water-repellent boot for high-altitude mountaineering, ice climbing and use in cold environments. It is quick and easy to put on thanks to the lower lacing with BOA® Fit System placed on the outside of the gaiter, which allows secure closure with gloves and does not require the zip to be opened. The Velcro Power Strap on the upper part of the shell also allows a secure and precise closure and in combination with the adjustable collar prevents snow or ice from entering. G5 Evo is equipped, like all products in the La Sportiva high-mountain line, with quick-drying materials that favour prolonged use. Protection from atmospheric agents is maximum thanks to the water-repellent gaiter with heat-sealed zip and the internal thermo-taping with innovative UltraSonic Welding technology that allows the materials to be joined together without the need for stitching, increasing water-repellence. Volumes and weight are reduced to the maximum: the protective rim is made of super-light PU TechLite™ anti-abrasion material while the midsole is made of honey-comb tech 3 mm insulating carbon. The thermicity is accentuated by the GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ THERMIUM™ Insulation Technology membrane that wraps the shell frontally, including the midsole: it increases the thermicity in the toe box, favouring use of the boot even in static situations. G5 EVO combines the thermal insulation characteristics of a double hull boot with the lightness and volume of a single hull boot. Gimme Five, G5.
