Description
Self-braking descender with anti-panic function for anchorage evacuations
The I’D EVAC self-braking descender is primarily intended for anchorage evacuations. Specifically oriented for load handling at the anchorage, the ergonomic handle allows comfortable control of the rappel. The integrated anti-panic function and anti-error rope catch reduce accident risks in case of incorrect use. The AUTO-LOCK system allows the rope to be automatically locked, without having to use the handle and realize the arrest key. Once locked, the rope can be retrieved without having to use the handle. The opening click allows the rope to be installed while keeping the device connected to the anchor. I’D EVAC is compatible with ropes from 10 to 11.5 mm and allows handling of loads up to 250 kg.
Detailed description.
Designed for evacuations on anchorage.
Ease of use:
– has an opening click on the movable flange that allows the rope to be easily inserted, keeping the device connected to the anchorage,
– easy installation of the rope, thanks to the guide and indicative markings,
– anti-error rope stop to limit the risk of accident due to incorrect rope insertion,
– ergonomic handle to release the rope and comfortably control the rappel. Two abseiling options: on the flange or in the V-shaped braking groove. The handle is specifically oriented for load handling at the anchorage,
– anti-panic function that automatically stops the rappel if the user pulls too hard on the handle,
– AUTO-LOCK system that automatically locks the rope, without having to use the handle and realize the stop key. Automatic handle return reduces the risk of unintentional snagging,
– automatic transition of the handle to the rest position when the rope is removed from the device, which reduces the risks of involuntary hooking when carrying the descender on the harness.
Versatility of use:
– once locked, the rope can be retrieved without having to use the handle, allowing a retrieval system to be reversible,
– screw that allows the moving flange to be locked to integrate the I’D EVAC into evacuation kits,
– additional open brake to increase braking action depending on load and rope diameter and install or release rope at any time.
Protective reinforcement, made of stainless steel in the rope rubbing area, which allows for increased wear resistance.
Heavy load rappelling up to 250 kg.
Rope compatibility: 10 to 11.5 mm diameter.
