Self-braking descender with anti-panic function for work at height and difficult access

The I’D S self-braking descender is primarily intended for work at height and difficult access. It features an ergonomic handle for comfortable control of the descent. The integrated anti-panic function and the anti-error rope stop reduce the risk of an accident in case of incorrect use. The AUTO-LOCK system makes it easy to position yourself at the work station, without having to use the handle and make the arrest key. Once locked, the rope can be retrieved without having to use the handle. The opening click allows the rope to be installed while keeping the device connected to the harness. I’D S is compatible with ropes from 10 to 11.5 mm and allows handling of loads up to 250 kg.

Easy to use:
– has an opening click on the mobile flange that allows the rope to be easily inserted, keeping the device connected to the harness,
– easy rope installation, thanks to the guide and indicative markings
– anti-error rope clamp to limit the risk of an accident due to incorrect rope insertion
– ergonomic handle that allows the rope to be released and allows the user to comfortably control the abseil. Two abseiling possibilities: on the flange or in the V-shaped braking groove
– anti-panic function that automatically stops the abseil if the user pulls too hard on the handle,
– allows smooth movements on horizontal surfaces or inclined planes,
– AUTO-LOCK system that allows easy positioning on the work site, without having to use the handle and make the arrest key: when the user lets go of the handle, the rope is automatically locked in the device. The automatic return of the handle reduces the risk of unintentional hooking,
– automatic transition of the handle to the rest position when the rope is removed from the device, which reduces the risk of involuntary hooking when the descender is worn on the harness.
Versatility of use:
– once locked, the rope can be retrieved without having to use the handle, allowing a retrieval system to be reversible or short rope ascents to be made easily,
– cam that can be used to easily pick up rope or belay a leader with climbing technique
– screw that allows you to lock the mobile flange to integrate the I’D S into rescue kits,
– possibility of adding an additional brake, open or closed, for better control of the abseil depending on the load and rope diameter.
Protective stainless steel reinforcement in the area where the rope rubs, which increases wear resistance.
Heavy load abseiling up to 250 kg.
Rope compatibility: 10 to 11.5 mm in diameter.
Available in two colors: yellow and black.
